Sabrina's Birthday

It's hard to believe that my little Sabrina is 33 years old today.  It's seems just like yesterday that she was born.  She has been a treasure in my life.  I was never given the opportunity to be a mother and Sabrina helped to fill that void.  Robin, my dearest friend, was so gracious and generous to share her cherished prized possession with me.  I will be forever grateful for her unselfish act of kindness.

Hit by a Car

Wednesday, May 18th, my brother was hit by a car while riding his bike.  He was taken to Scottsdale Heathcare located at Scottsdale Rd and Osborn.  He has a broken clavicle (in three places), scapula, a couple broken ribs and a shattered elbow.  Friday, May 20th he had surgery to repair the clavicle. He now has a metal plate and screws holding it in place.  The scapula was left alone due to all the muscles that surround it.  The surgeon didn't want to damage any of the muscles.  He's hopeful that it will heal itself.  The elbow was debreded to clean it out and remove the bone spur that broke off during the accident. He's in a lot of discomfort.  The surgeon is hopeful for a full recovery.

Going Green

I'm working on a new project. My goal is to use up excess fabric from other projects, as well as donated material, and put them to use.  With the landfills being filled with more and more plastic bags that take a gzilliion years to breakdown, I've decided to have a goal to recycle fabric and make something useful out of them.  As you can see I have a lot of fabric to start with.  Now to get creative!

Time to "Go Green" and use my own totes for my groceries.  I also thought it would not be a bad idea to sell them at craft fairs and boutiques.  I'm going to make two sizes.

Vertigo

Since last week I've been having dizzy spells.  What a strange feeling!  So, I decided to go see my PCP and the diagnosis...VERTIGO!  I'm hoping this doesn't last a long time.  It's the result of my sinus' and the fact I recently had a sinus infection.

Mother's Day Week

I've been a floral designer since 1984 and I know I have developed quite a talent.  I enjoy working with flowers and there is a lot of satisfaction with being creative. I'm finding the older I get the harder it is to work these long hours. I can do 8 hours with no problem, but 16 hour days are killing me. I thought  this week would NEVER END!

Professional Administrative Week

Another name for it is Secretary's Day!  Worked this week at the flower shop again, except for Wednesday and Saturday.  I'm still feeling under the weather due to this sinus infection and annoying cough that has gone into my chest!  I know that Debbie depends on me and I do my best, but when you are sick...it's pretty tough.  I know that I'm dragging.  Hopefully next week I'll have more energy.
