Royal Wedding

Today I watched the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton. William Arthur Phillip Louis and Catherine Elizabeth were married April 29, 2011 in Westminster Abby.  The wedding was beautiful.  The bride was stunning and the groom was very handsome. Hopefully this will be a fairytale wedding with a happy ending unlike Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

Easter Week

This week I've been working at my friends flower shop for the Easter holiday.  It hasn't been as busy as in years past, but that's okay because I haven't worked on a steady basis.

Thursday, April 21st I had a Scentsy Party at Courtney Packer Gibson's home.  It was nice to see Courtney and little Ryder along with her family and friends.  After working all day at the flower shop, I can tell you I was exhausted.  When I came home I flopped right into bed.  But the unusual thing was I was freezing and it was 75 degrees in the house.

The next day I went to work at the flower shop and started feeling poorly.  I started getting a fever and had to leave early.  When I came home I took my temperature (102 degrees) and started taking Tylenol and Ibuprofen and went directly bed.  I woke up Saturday with a 102 degree fever.  All day long  I laid on the couch.  I had no energy.  Finally about 8:30pm I went to urgent care.  Results: Sinus Infection.  After urgent care I went to Walgreen and waited a hour and a half to fill 4 (four) RX's.  I don't like being sick!

Easter Sunday, I went to church with Doug.  Even though I wasn't feeling 100%, Sister Friendly had to do sharing time in Primary. The Primary Children are such a delight and bring joy into my life.

Busy Month

I'm still finalizing some of my father's affairs.

Dad's headstone arrived and is now in it's proper place.  It's beautiful and I know he would be happy with the selection that all of us kids made.

I'm ready to get his 2010 taxes to the CPA and have that taken care of.  Roger and I went to the DMV to transfer the title of the 1956 Ford Truck.

It will take some time for everything to be finished regarding my dad's affairs.  But all in all, it has run pretty smoothly.

March was super busy for me and Scentsy.  My sales were good, over $2000 which means I'll have a nice commission.  Now that I've paid off all my credit cards, I can purchase something that I've wanted for a long time and I can pay cash for it!  That's exciting.  I'm going to be working on my guest room in April and I'll be ordering a desk to put in there.  I need a place to sew and do crafts because our office is so full of my Scentsy business and Doug's business.  There's just not room for one more piece of furniture in that small room and besides, I'm worth it!

General Conference

Each Spring we are given the opportunity to listen to General Conference.  I feel like I really need it this year.  I've been struggling with the blues...I think for several reasons!  First, the passing of my father has affected me deeply.  I cherished the time with him, his jokes, his stories, his smile and that twinkle in his eyes.  I miss his fun, caring, gentle, and loving manner.  Second, I'm approaching my 5th anniversary mark of being diagnosed with breast cancer.  For some reason this has been on my mind continually.  It's almost consuming me and I need peace in my mind and heart.

Conference is the remedy.  It never fails that there are talks given especially to me.  I'm so grateful for a living Prophet and Apostles on the earth.  For their spiritual messages that touch my soul.  Does that mean I won't be anxious?  No!  However, it does put things into perspective and hopefully it will diminish my anxiety.
